EDIE (Educational Dementia Immersive Experience) is an immersive workshop that enables participants to see the world through the eyes of a person living with dementia. Utilising our high quality virtual reality technology, this workshop enhances their knowledge of the impact of dementia and adopt reablement approaches that will improve the quality of life for persons living with dementia.

The 3-hour workshop will allow participants to experience the challenges faced by a person living with dementia and learn how to develop a support plan in partnership with the person with dementia and care partner with the goal of enablement.

Training outline:

  • A person with dementia’s perspective of dementia
  • Identifying support needs in partnership with the person of dementia and their caregiver
  • How to develop a dementia support plan that focuses on enabling a person with dementia

What do we do?

Dementia Singapore Academy (DSA) is the training and consultancy arm of Dementia Singapore, which provides training programmes for professionals and members of the public, as well as consultancy services for agencies providing dementia care services.

The Academy also aims to enable service providers to adopt Person-Centred Care approaches and share best practices in dementia care.

Who should attend?

General public and volunteers who are providing support to people living with dementia and their caregivers.
